Travel to Manizales

Yesterday we traveled to Manizales, the capital of another state in this region of Colombia. While ministering in a little church we learned somehting about the heart of a true worshipper. We want to share with you the blessing of knowing two of our newest friends.

As worship started the people began singing and dancing beautifully to the Lord with all the energy and passion that is typical in many Latin American meetings. The Pastor called all the young people to the front. We were really enjoying the worship when we noticed that one of the smallest ones wasn’t a child.

Her name is Diana and her twin sister’s name is Carolina. We watched Diana worship God with all her heart and strength. When the next song started Diana went over and picked out one of the largest flags in the pile and began waving it with passion. The joy of the Lord radiated from her. We have attached a few pictures so you can see our new friends and pray for them. This is their testimony.

The twins were born in a poor section of a city in a third world country infamous for drugs and violence. The day they were born the doctors told their mother they would not live. They lived. The doctors told them they would never walk but their legs carry their 28 inch tall, 25 pound bodies wherever they need to go. The doctors said they would never see their 15thbirthdays. They are 22 years old now. Diana said the doctors are now saying they can’t possibly live much longer. She quickly added with a beaming smile, “The Doctors haven’t been right about us yet.”

The next time you have a hard time entering into worship think of our new friends Diana and Carolina. The next time someone tells you life isn’t fair think of Diana and Carolina. Entering into worship is a choice, Diana and Carolina may only be 28 inches tall in the natural but yesterday they towered above everyone in true worship.

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

Diana and Carolina share the heart of worship, David’s heart, “a man after God’s own heart.” Please pray for Diana and Carolina that they would live long and fruitful lives in the service of the Master. Our lives are changed and we know many more will be changed through the purity of worship found in these two young ladies. Pray especially for Carolina whose mobility is limited due to arthritic pain.

Thanks again to all of your prayers and support. We are all…
